Artwork Setup Guide

  1. Setting Up Your Artwork Canvas

    For customers not familiar with creating artwork for large-format print, we have created this guide to make sure your designs can be processed and printed as quickly and accurately as possible.

  1. Canvas Size & Scale

    • Your artwork must match the same proportions as the product you’re ordering.
    • Large designs can be created at 50%, 25% or 10% scale to keep the file size small — as long as the proportions stay the same.
    • Adobe file size limit: 5080mm maximum. If your design is larger, use a reduced scale.

    Example (5m × 1m banner):


    Full scale: 5000 × 1000mm
    Half scale: 2500 × 500mm
    Quarter scale: 1250 × 250mm

    Colour Mode

    • Always set your artwork to CMYK.
    • Files created in RGB will shift in colour when printed

    Bleed

    Include full-size bleed around your artwork:

    Do not include crop marks, colour bars or trim lines inside bleed.

  2. Keylines / Trim Lines

    • Do not include keylines unless you’re ordering shape-cut signage.
    • If they are included by mistake, they may print on your final sign.

    Roller Banner Artwork

    • Best option: Use our free templates (correct sizing + hidden base area).
    • If creating manually, include an extra 150mm at the bottom for the section that rolls inside the unit — no logos or text here.

    No Design Software?

    You can still create print-ready files using free tools like:

    • Canva (Pro recommended for CMYK & PDF export)
    • Affinity Designer (great for scaled artwork)
      Just make sure you follow the size, bleed and CMYK settings above.
